Appalachian District Hospice
The mission of the Alleghany Office of Appalachian District Health Department
Hospice is to deliver the highest quality of care to individuals with
life-limiting illness by helping each person to live their final days in
comfort, with love, respect and dignity and to provide support to individuals
and their families through the process of grief and healing.
The focus of Hospice is to provide medical, social, spiritual and volunteer services that allow the patient to remain at home during the terminal illness. Patients should have a life expectancy of six months or less. Bereavement services are available to surviving spouses and family for a period of one year following death. The hours of operation are 8:00-4:45, Monday through Friday. Contact Information: |
